Amazing.

So, I've just returned from the world of Warped Tour.  It was loads of fun, and I'm pretty sure I will not be able to get out of bed in the morning.  We got to see a lot of really great bands, and I bought a fair amount of merchandise.  Here's how the day went:

We were totally late in leaving, because, for some reason, everyone was convinced that I said we had to leave at 9:30 when I'm sure I told everyone 9:15.  But we got there and through the gates at 11:30, just in time to see the first band that I wanted to see.

First up was Cobra Starship.  They were a whole lot of fun.  I was also very impressed when Gabe (lead singer) stopped the show when a small group of people fell down.  He was yelling at the people around them to help them up and didn't start the show again until he was sure everyone was okay.  The only real disappointment from them was when they preformed "Snakes on a Plane."  They didn't have the guy from Gym Class Heroes do the rap, even though he was around somewhere (Gym Class Heroes were with the tour).  It was still fun, though.  I learned how to be in the Cobra Gang and how to officially flash the sign.

We caught The Academy Is... after that.  We totally got to their stage 30 minutes early.  We started out at the back of the line, but ended up being in the middle towards the front, which was pretty awesome.  Until we almost died.  The crowd totally pushed us up about 7 feet when the band came on stage, then proceeded to push us back again.  There were a few moment when I was sure I would fall and be trampled.  So, after we could move on our own again, we moved back a ways to be out of the danger zone.  The show was so much fun.  I'm super excited that they will be playing a show in Chicago sometime soon, so I totally want to go.  The lead singer is pretty cute, too.

We missed OreSka Band because we got confused about which stage was which (apparently, the Hurley stage was different from the Hurley.com stage....), which was a little bit of a disappointment.  However, we did manage to find the right stage in time to see Ludo.  I love them so much.  After their show, we randomly decided to go back to their booth, which turned out to be an amazing decision.  The lead singer was hanging out and doing autographs, so we didn't have to stand in line.  The only bad thing was that I forgot my camera at home, so I couldn't get a picture with him.

We saw a few other bands, but nothing that I thought was really amazing.  We did catch Angels & Airwaves, which was pretty good, besides the people standing next to us who were loudly complaining about the band, but wouldn't leave.  Reel Big Fish was really a lot of fun, and I was glad we saw them.  After them,  we stayed for Motion City and got really close to the stage, but we decided to move back a little before the show started, but we still stayed more towards the front.  It was actually a lot of fun until three people right behind us decided that they needed to crowd surf at the same time.  I was bowled over by one and Jenna had the misfortune to have the other two land on top of her.  Luckily the crowed didn't let us fall, but we rushed towards the back to save ourselves.

All in all, I had a ton of fun, and I hope that we might go again next year.
