Why the internet hates me.

I'm pretty sure it's mostly because I actually need it right now.  It wouldn't be so bad if it was just out, but it randomly comes on and then, suddenly, it's gone again.  This makes doing the research for my speech extremely hard, especially when it's working fine until I actually find a source I can use.

Also, I realized that I neglected to inform people here that I'm a proud new doggy mommy.  His name is Nero and he is a Great Pyrenees/Border Collie mix.  In the picture, he's about 2 months and 20 lbs, but he is now 3 months and somewhere around 30 lbs.

OMG!

I actually have empty bookshelves at the moment!!!!!!  WOWS!!!!

This means that books that are more hardy, i.e. my novels, will actually have a home for a change!

Oh, and my teeth hurt again, which means I probably won't eat for a week, which also means that I will loose more weight.  Both yay and not yay!

Wonderful.

So, as a reward for going to an awesome concert, I now have a blistering sunburn.  Literally.  My forehead has blistered, as well as some of my scalp.  My face looks like a boiled lobster, except where my sunglasses were.

And I have a potential date on Tuesday....  Poo.

Amazing.

So, I've just returned from the world of Warped Tour.  It was loads of fun, and I'm pretty sure I will not be able to get out of bed in the morning.  We got to see a lot of really great bands, and I bought a fair amount of merchandise.  Here's how the day went:

We were totally late in leaving, because, for some reason, everyone was convinced that I said we had to leave at 9:30 when I'm sure I told everyone 9:15.  But we got there and through the gates at 11:30, just in time to see the first band that I wanted to see.

First up was Cobra Starship.  They were a whole lot of fun.  I was also very impressed when Gabe (lead singer) stopped the show when a small group of people fell down.  He was yelling at the people around them to help them up and didn't start the show again until he was sure everyone was okay.  The only real disappointment from them was when they preformed "Snakes on a Plane."  They didn't have the guy from Gym Class Heroes do the rap, even though he was around somewhere (Gym Class Heroes were with the tour).  It was still fun, though.  I learned how to be in the Cobra Gang and how to officially flash the sign.

We caught The Academy Is... after that.  We totally got to their stage 30 minutes early.  We started out at the back of the line, but ended up being in the middle towards the front, which was pretty awesome.  Until we almost died.  The crowd totally pushed us up about 7 feet when the band came on stage, then proceeded to push us back again.  There were a few moment when I was sure I would fall and be trampled.  So, after we could move on our own again, we moved back a ways to be out of the danger zone.  The show was so much fun.  I'm super excited that they will be playing a show in Chicago sometime soon, so I totally want to go.  The lead singer is pretty cute, too.

We missed OreSka Band because we got confused about which stage was which (apparently, the Hurley stage was different from the Hurley.com stage....), which was a little bit of a disappointment.  However, we did manage to find the right stage in time to see Ludo.  I love them so much.  After their show, we randomly decided to go back to their booth, which turned out to be an amazing decision.  The lead singer was hanging out and doing autographs, so we didn't have to stand in line.  The only bad thing was that I forgot my camera at home, so I couldn't get a picture with him.

We saw a few other bands, but nothing that I thought was really amazing.  We did catch Angels & Airwaves, which was pretty good, besides the people standing next to us who were loudly complaining about the band, but wouldn't leave.  Reel Big Fish was really a lot of fun, and I was glad we saw them.  After them,  we stayed for Motion City and got really close to the stage, but we decided to move back a little before the show started, but we still stayed more towards the front.  It was actually a lot of fun until three people right behind us decided that they needed to crowd surf at the same time.  I was bowled over by one and Jenna had the misfortune to have the other two land on top of her.  Luckily the crowed didn't let us fall, but we rushed towards the back to save ourselves.

All in all, I had a ton of fun, and I hope that we might go again next year.

This is what I've decided....

God, I'm so sick of flaky friends.  I'm tired of being the one who has to come crawling back to people.  I seem to always find the people who could really care less if we do anything together, unless I have something to offer them.  Well, I'm not going to do it anymore.  I'm tired of trying to be friendly in hopes that my "friends" will choose to spend time with me, or notice the fact that we haven't fucking talked to each other in several months, and the times that we have talked to each other was only when I went out of my way to fucking talk to them.  I'm tired of friends who make shit out of nothing, or out of shit that happened forever ago and was resolved until everyone decided that they didn't have anything better to do and brought it back up.  I hate the feeling of sitting on the edge of my seat, waiting for a promised call that never comes, or for an IM that never happens.  I just don't fucking care anymore.  I hate loosing friends, especially when they decide that I'm no longer worth they're time.  It sucks, and it makes me feel used, but I've realized that they don't really care.  Fine.  Whatever.  Also, I'm tired of being guilt tripped into either going back to these friends or into believing that our lost relationship is my fucking fault.  Well, forget it.  From now on, I won't do it any more.  You want to be friends?  Fine.  Make a move to show me that it's not just me who is interested.

Not that half the people this applies to even read my fucking journal anyway, which just shows how much those people care.

Just too much....

So, I've just finished fixing Itunes.  Finally.  I had to "find" over 4,000 songs.  >.<  It occurred to me around the time I had made it to "S" that I could have just erased everything and re-put them into Itunes..... T.T  Suck and fail.  The worst part of it was that there was this whole freaking section where the song titles and album names were in english in my files, but in characters in Itunes.

Also, I just burned a bag of popcorn to a crisp.....Smells awful....

So lately, I feel that I'm loosing a lot of my friends, not that I had many to begin with.  I don't know if it's because they no longer have any desire to spend any time with me at all, not one invite to houses, movies, or to anywhere.  I also realize that I have not been inviting peoples either, but, for some reason, I keep coming up with reasons not to, mostly that they will turn me down with some reason or another that is probably perfectly reasonable, but leaves doubt in my mind.  Not that I'm trying to offend anyone, I just seriously have this fear of rejection that I've gotten better about.  There was a time that I wouldn't even ask for help at a store.  This is just something I've been thinking about, especially when I hear about all the fun things my friends are doing while I sit at home and deal with a moody father and sometimes a moody mother or when I see how many new friends everyone has made and I realize that I haven't really made any more.  I know that part of my lack of new friends is because I'm not taking any "social" classes where there is a lot of time to converse with your classmates.

Also, we had to put my dog to sleep the day after Valentine's day.

I am also very excited for Acen.

And so it begins again....

Well, the second week of spring semester has almost come to a close.  I suppose that I should fill in about my break and stuff, so here it is.

Christmas break was pretty tame over all.  I only really got to see three of my friends, which was sort of sad.  I hope everyone had a good holiday.  I have presents for a couple people, still.  I never seem to see them, and when I do, I can't get their attention.  Anyway, I had a good Christmas.  I got a couple of cds that I think Santa should have just bought for himself, since he keeps begging me to lend them to him.  We totally got an XBOX 360.  Yay!  Except we really need a big tv to play it on.  I can't read most of the instructions....  New Year's was pretty lame, too.  Everyone was at fun parties and such while I sat at home and played Boggle.  I almost beat my dad.

I got my grades for last semester, and they were about what I thought they would be.  I was trying not to tell my dad because he made such fuss when I told him what I thought I would get.  When I finally told him, he goes, "I don't care if you get Cs.  I got Cs when I was in college."  Well, thanks for being supportive after the fact.

New classes are going well so far.  My Calc III teacher is a little bit of a bore, but I think I'll manage.  It also looks like I'm going to be very busy with the tutoring this semester.  That gets both yays and boos.

I guess that's it for now....

This is the first time in a long, long time that I actually get to use the computer for personal use.  Yay!!!!

I got a new kitty.  She is cute cute and sweet and wonderful.  I will post pictures later.

For those interested:  Youmacon.  I was looking at it and playing with numbers and here is what I think.  If it is at all possible to leave on Thursday, I think we might as well just drive it.  Its five hours, but it would end up being cheaper in the long run.  Depending on how my car is behaving, I don't mind driving, or if someone else wants to, that's cool too.  If it turns out that there is no way to miss those classes on Friday, then we will have to fly.  Here's the problem about flying.  We don't know anyone up there, so there is no one to come pick us up, which means we will need to either rent a car or have a taxi take us.  The two airports that are anywhere near the hotel are an hour away.  If you guys want, I can give you a monetary comparison later.  I have a rough idea, but we'll see.  Let me know what you're thinking, 'cause we probably want to reserve our room soon.

So much to say....

Say my hell is the closet
I'm stuck inside
Can't see the light
*****************
I find, sometimes it's easy to be myself
Sometimes, I find it's better to be somebody else.

Okays, I will try not to be too long since it has been quite a while since I updated.

My job is starting to simmer down a little bit.  We are officially done with the bird surveys and have moved on to trapping fish.  We checked the traps today.  There were lots of crayfish, a couple of snakes, and a few different types of fish.  Unfortunately, one of those types of fish were the type we did not want to find, so now we will have to do more work.

I finally got paid today.  It was almost $200 less than last year.  How sad....

My car is still broked.

I still need at least 3 more credits to be full time and I don't know what classes to take.

I can not believe that I missed S.K.I.N.  I am very very upset about this, since I didn't know until it was too late to go.  From what I saw/heard, it was amazing.  Why can't they come to Chicago???

Air Gear = love

I can't sleep.....at least not until really really early in the morning....

Everyone is going on about how fat they are, but they are all skinnier than me......That must make me super fat.......T.T

So, I totally broked my iPod on the way home from MN.....It fell into the cooler that had melted ice in it without anyone knowing and now it is dead.  ;.;  We took it to Best Buy and they couldn't fix it, so they gave us a number to call and said that they will tell us how to send it in and get a replacement.

Oakbrook mall is too expensive for me.....T.T  But the Thai place is amazing and there were lots and lots of cute cute guys......

Alright, so the next stuff will mostly be for Thrones, but it will be mostly babbling, and may not make much sense....Sorry....

So, I've been thinking about Haruhi......Here's what I came up with.  It might not be anything good, and I might be assuming too many things, but here it goes.

So, I think that maybe everyone had the potential to be like Haruhi, but Haruhi just happen to come to an enlightening conclusion about the way the world works.  By coming to these conclusions and wishing to make it different is how her powers became reality.  The people who were special (time travelers, espers, etc.) were chosen randomly, but realize that they are part of her world.  There could be others who are like Haruhi with their own special types of people.  If you think of it that way, then Koizumi's speech about how its possible that places may not truly exist if you are not there, or something like that.  Then, there could be several different worlds from different people either overlapping, or just all existing at the same time, but in slightly different places.  As for Kyon being attracted to Haruhi only because she wanted him to, I sort of got this feeling like either he was just not as affected by her desires as the others were, or he could have possible on the verge of becoming someone like Haruhi.  He seemed so indifferent to everything and he was never the one who really tried to make Haruhi happy.  When you said that Kyon had to have been made to like Haruhi, I started thinking about it.  No one said that the world had been remade yet.  I think that Haruhi was just in the process of slowly changing things.  Otherwise, why was she so surprised when she was in the middle of the transition into the new world.  That means that Haruhi wouldn't have been able to necessarily make him like her.

So, that's what I think.  I could be completely off.

Welcome to Costco.....I love you.....

I like money....

Too bad I won't be getting much for a while.  I don't know when my first paycheck of the summer will come, but I don't think it will be until next week or the week after.  Andy is working us sort of hard because he is going on vacation next week, so we have to make up for that.  Oh well.  Today was my first day off since we started.  Yay for sleeping in past 6am.  Andy is so funny, though.  He's taught us to keep our mouths closed while walking through certain areas by stirring up all the cicadas.  Then he acts like a little boy when they all start flying.  "Whoo hoo, look at them go!"  They other day, my dad randomly asked whether or not the cicadas had mouth parts, and Andy's like I don't know, let's find out.  So here are these too men standing in the middle of the woods, each with a cicada in their hands.  Finally, after much examining of the poor insects, they decided that, Yes, they do have feeding parts.  Then, they start trying to decide if they were male or female, gave up, then started smashing the poor things into each other gently before throwing them off to their own devices.

Rocky was fun.  Seth wants to go next time.

So, for all who are interested, on Friday at 7:30 ish, I will be showing a movie.  If you so choose, please come.

So, this was the first week of bird stuff.  Ugh.  We decided that when we flag where a nest is, we signal the preditors to come and help themselves.  Also, Andy found the remains of a feast of fawn and collected vertibre and half a skull to bring home to his kids.  Poor kids.  They'll be freaks when they grow up.  Today I found a hole by stepping in it.  I fell and after I got up, my supervisor informed me that I had just fallen into a large patch of poison ivy.  Go me.  I'm pretty sure I didn't touch it, though.  It all makes me so tired, though.  T.T

aappep:
AX is $60 at the door.  Days: Friday, June 28th to Monday July 1st.  I think there are a couple of cheap hotels, but I cannot for the life of me find anything on flights.  Mostly because I cannot figure out where the flight would come in in California.  See what you can scrounge up.  Also, I am not sure if I can get the days off to go, just because I think that's the week Andy comes back from vacation, so I don't know what he'll want us to do.  X I

I realize that everyone's talking about Acen and stuff, so I'm sorry that I'm just putting in my update now.  I've been in a sort of perpetual state of blobness at home and I don't know why, but I haven't really felt like doing anything.  Sorry.  So, anyway, Acen was super fun.  Somehow, we managed to fight our way into the Masquerade.  I got to sit next to this super hot asian who was dressed as Cloud.  (I got his picture, which I think freaked him out.....)  He also had a hot asian friend/relative who looked almost exactly like him.  Turns out, he has a girlfriend.....T.T  Apparently, I am the only one who did not meet some hot guy......Gaara turned out to be a little bit of a bust.  Sorry Drake.  Boogiepop rocks my world, though.  I love the whole "OMG, we've been trying to find you all day" and the "I can't believe I found someone from that series..."  Does that make me an attention whore?  Maybe, but its nice to know that people recognize who you're trying to be and appreciate it.  Also, I had many people tell me that it was good enough to be in the masquerade.....I disagree.  Maybe some year, though.  Drake and I were making plans to improve it the other night, now that she kind of knows who Boogiepop is.  Also, we totally got to see Yasohiro Nightow.  Amazing.  He knew my character, too.  It was great......Sometime, if anyone is interested, I will have to do the impression of them trying to remember the name.....:D

So, bird work has started, and I totally am not getting paid as much.  Loser army.

Pirates=love

Random thought, but I was thinking of having people come over and watch "Idiocracy" on Friday, June 1st.  Let me know, kay?
